Our Story


Along the rugged Coastline of Newfoundland and Labrador lay hundreds of communities, home to the proud in-shore fish harvesters. These men and women work tirelessly to harvest the seafood bounty of the ice-cold North Atlantic waters for kitchens all over the world. These Newfoundlanders and Labradoreans spend their days mending pots and nets; maintaining their boats and vessels; navigating the calm and sometimes stormy sea; and all the while bring home a living for themselves, their families, and their communities.

Trout River is beautiful


Even more wonderful than this scenic fishing community on the west coast of Newfoundland and Labrador, just outside of the "Tablelands", are the people - hard working harvesters who are up at the crack of dawn to toss hooked long lines over the gunnels. Each hook brings the hope of seeing white bellies emerging through the water when the hooks come back in the afternoon.
